Outstanding Dojo
I have studied martial arts for many years...however, this dojo is authentic. Sifu Smith understands the art at the deepest level. Not only do students learn amazing techniques, but they learn the art's deeper meanings behind the movements. He is a brilliant, talented and humble teacher; more importantly, he is an enlightened being who lives an undivided life. - Deborah , posted 12/18/08

the fountain head of Yue Chia in United States
I have studied the philosophy of Yue Chia since 1994 (teaching since 1996). Eventually, i found that i needed to find Sifu Thomas Smith and study with him directly. He isthe most impressive teacher i have ever found. His skill and understanding are only matched by his humility and wisdom gained through walking the path for some 40 years+. Incredible school and learning opportunity! - student for life , posted 05/11/07

kickass and reach enlightenment all in the same place
This is a martial arts dojo. If you're looking for a really formal kick-you-in-the-ass-until-you-bleed kind of training, then this is NOT the place for you. However, if you want to learn how to practice self-control and self-defense in an open and welcoming atmosphere then come check it out. Sifu Tom Smith is likable and very approachable. Respect is given to you just for being one of those people willing to get off of your ass and come to train.
Things taught there - Yue Chia (very fast, aerobic), Shorin Rue (sp?) (more of a Japanese style), Tai Chi (Yang style, heavy on the martial applications), and Kriya Yoga (big on accumulating and directing prana) - Siobhan , posted 10/03/05
